Ill Considered (UK)
Ill Considered formed in 2017 after Emre Ramazanoglu and Idris Rahman played together on some sessions and were motivated to try a new, fully improvised project with drums, bass, sax (and occasionally) percussion. Their DIY live and studio recording approach built them a strong following as well as the respect and admiration of many of the leading lights in the UK jazz scene and beyond.
Precipice (January ’24) marked the start of a busy year for Ill Considered being signed with New Soil, with multiple album releases and collaboration projects later on the same year. Precipice is an extended, improvised session recorded down at Total Refreshment Centre featuring Idris Rahman, Pete Wareham, Buster Woodruff-Bryant, Art Themen, James Mollison, Nathaniel Cross, Theon Cross and James Yglesias.
September 6th marks the release of Infrared, filmed during the time of Covid restrictions at Emre’s studios when it wasn’t possible to perform live.
On October 3rd, they released their live album recorded at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam.
More releases to follow throughout 2024-2025.
